Arsenal transfers: Declan Rice summer talks, Mudryk alternative, Facundo Torres interest, Saliba contract situation

Let’s see some of the transfer news around the Arsenal football club.

Arsenal make Declan Rice top summer target

Declan Rice is a West Ham and England midfielder that Arsenal will want to acquire in the summer. They are confident that they can outbid competitors, Chelsea being among them, for his services.

The Premier League leaders are convinced they can sign him this summer, according to The Athletic, who makes that claim.

If a deal is completed, Rice would surpass Nicolas Pépé’s £72 million transfer record and is Mikel Arteta’s top target. It is assumed that the player is willing to consider the potential move.

Since Rice’s contract with West Ham expires in 2024, some have speculated that he would leave for a sizable sum in January. However, West Ham has insisted that Rice won’t depart this month.

The player has already expressed his ambition, saying that his ultimate goal is to compete in the Champions League.

Rice declared in December, “I want to play in the Champions League, 100%.”

Given that they just lost out to the Blues on January target Mykhailo Mudryk, Arsenal will undoubtedly face competition from Chelsea for Rice’s signature.

Arsenal could sign Leandro Trossard as Mykhaylo Mudryk’s alternative

Leandro Trossard of Brighton has been made available to Arsenal as they look for Mykhaylo Mudryk alternatives.

The Ukraine international Mudryk was the Gunners’ top transfer target. Still, Chelsea scuttled their attempt to capture him with an £88.5 million offer.

Arsenal is still looking to add a wide forward this month to bolster their championship defence. They have made inquiries about Raphinha of Barcelona. Still, it is believed that the winger wants to remain at Camp Nou.

Agents and clubs are aware that Arsenal is still actively seeking new players, and they anticipate making multiple offers to the Premier League leaders over the next two weeks.

Arsenal in talks with Orlando City star Facundo Torres

Facundo Torres, an athlete for Orlando City, has acknowledged that his team has spoken with Arsenal about a prospective transfer.

The Gunners have been linked to the Uruguayan star, who they view as a strong potential backup for Bukayo Saka.

The two sides are said to have started talking in the fall, and Torres has confirmed that talks have taken place.

“Orlando City told me that they had spoken to Arsenal, but I departed for the World Cup and didn’t want to hear about a possible trade at that time,” He stated 90 min.

“As a result, the discussion stopped there. However, now that I am back with the team, we will see where the discussion goes.”

“I want to play in Europe, he continued. I’ve dreamed of it ever since I was young. I’m currently concentrating on Orlando City. But the speculations are coming from La Liga or the Premier League, which would be my goals. But I would adore that.”

William Saliba happy at Arsenal as contract talks continue

While contract negotiations are ongoing behind the scenes of an increasingly convincing Premier League title bid, William Saliba claims he is “so happy” at Arsenal.

After three loan stints away from north London, France international Saliba made his debut at the beginning of the season and has since played a significant role in the club’s turnaround.

Given the calibre of his performances, he is anticipated to sign a new contract with Arsenal. He will allow contract negotiations to proceed in the background as Mikel Arteta’s team pursues the title charge.

I’m pleased to be here. My agent and I are discussing with the club, so all I can do is (focus on my football). I’m ecstatic to be here.”
