Ronaldo provided more information on how he felt “betrayed” in the second segment of the full interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored Thursday night.
Cristiano Ronaldo reveals reasons behind his animosity for Ten Hag
Cristiano Ronaldo, a striker for Manchester United, has explained why he and club manager Erik ten Hag have had tense relations.
“He [Ten Hag] doesn’t treat me the way I deserve,” the 37-year-old remarked. “However, it is what it is. This is the reason I departed the game against Tottenham.”
“Okay, you don’t want to start me against Manchester City out of respect for your career, but you want to prompt me against Tottenham for three minutes. It is not logical.”
“I believe he intended to do it. Not just because of the game, but even earlier, I felt provoked.”
“He doesn’t treat me with the respect I ought to receive. However, it is what it is. This is the reason I departed the game against Tottenham.”
Currently representing Portugal at the World Cup, Ronaldo continued, “I believe it was a ploy from the club for me to respond that way. I was extremely, extremely dissatisfied with Manchester United’s message.”
“Honestly, I never had a conflict with any team or coach. They also suspended me for three days, which was a long time, given the level of sports and clubs I was involved in. It was regrettable.”
However, Ronaldo did regret leaving the stadium so soon.
“It is not permitted for a coach to give me three minutes during a game. I’m sorry, but I don’t play like that. I am aware of what I can offer teams.”
Ronaldo believed that the team needed to give him the necessary backing to make the most of his second stint at Old Trafford.
"I don't have respect for him, because he don't show respect for me."
Cristiano Ronaldo says he experiences a lack of "empathy" from his Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag.

Ronaldo on Lionel Messi: I have a great relationship with him
During his talk.tv interview with Piers Morgan, Cristiano Ronaldo mentioned Lionel Messi.
“The outstanding player is the best; magic. Imagine that, as a human, we had shared the stage for 16 years. I, therefore, get along well with him.”
“I wouldn’t call him a friend in the traditional sense—the guy who sits next to you when you talk on the phone in your home—but more of a teammate.”
“I have a lot of respect for him because of the way he usually talks about me. Even though they are from Argentina, they always respect my wife, his wife, and my girlfriend.”
“Argentina is home to my girlfriend. Very good. What will I say regarding Messi? a decent person who sacrifices everything for football.”
Cristiano Ronaldo on Lionel Messi: “He is an amazing player. Magic. Top. As a person, we share the stage 16 years. Imagine 16 years. So, I have great relationship with him.”

Ronaldo explains why he turned down Saudi Arabia’s offer
Cristiano Ronaldo has acknowledged that he turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia because he didn’t want to leave Manchester United at the time.
When asked to confirm the rumors of a Saudi Arabian offer, Ronaldo responded to Talk TV: “It’s true.”
“The unreliable press has said that no one wants me, which is untrue. They keep saying, “nobody wants Cristiano.” How is it possible that a guy with 32 goals in one season has no interest? ”
“To be honest, I was pleased to be here, and I was inspired to have a successful season.”
“It isn’t very easy. However, in the same way, that I felt very content here, I can still score goals.”
“I can contribute significantly to the team and score many goals because I can help Manchester United and the national team. It’s challenging, though, if you need to sense that the energy is on your side. It is only natural that criticism will persist.”
Cristiano Ronaldo confirms to Piers Morgan thet he turned down £350m bid from Saudi club in the summer.
“It’s true, I said no. But what the press keeping say — garbage… is that nobody wants me, which is completely wrong. But they continue to repeat that nobody wants Cristiano”. pic.twitter.com/sibx8s9k92

Ronaldo says the January move may be suitable for Manchester United and himself
The shocking interview has led many fans to believe that the Portuguese’s career at Man United is over, but he claims this may not be the case.
The 37-year-old told Piers Morgan that it was difficult to state he would not return to Manchester United. However, as you say, it is. Let’s wait and see what happens.
“It’s good for Manchester United. It’s good for me to have a new chapter,” he added, adding that it can also be the end.
“It’s hard to say right now [whether he will play for Man United after January]. My focus is on the World Cup. It’s likely my final World Cup.”
“I hope they [United supporters] have been on my side, whether I return, don’t return, stay, or whatever.”
“Nobody is flawless. Episodes in life are a natural part of being a human, and being a human and a father is a natural part of me.”
