Transfer talks: Bayern’s Sommer interest, Hazard linked to Al-Nassr and Zaha transfer update

Let’s see some of the transfer news around the football world.

Bayern director confirms interest in Yann Sommer

Hasan Salihamidzic, the sporting director at Bayern Munich, discloses that the German powerhouses are considering signing Yann Sommer.

The unforeseen injury to Manuel Neuer following the World Cup shocked the Bavarians. The seasoned goalie will be out until the end of the season after breaking his leg while on holiday.

Bayern has begun looking for a substitute as they again prepare to play next Friday. According to reports, Bayern’s first preference was to recall Alexander Nubel back from his loan at Monaco.

The Bundesliga champions have since changed their attention to acquiring Sommer.

Salihamidzic told Sky Sports when asked if the team was thinking about signing the Swiss international, “I don’t enjoy talking about players of other clubs, but it’s obviously a topic, of course. We have our options under consideration and will decide soon.”

Bayern would have a dependable goalkeeper through the end of the season if Sommer were to be signed. But it will probably persuade Nubel to stay permanently in Monaco at the year’s end.

Eden Hazard was linked with a shock Al-Nassr move

Real Madrid outcast Eden Hazard is the latest name linked with Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr.

Cristiano Ronaldo, a former Los Blancos great, has joined the team under a record-breaking contract until 2025.

However, it is anticipated that Al Nassr’s initiative to recruit famous figures to Saudi Arabia in the coming months will begin with a move for Ronaldo.

As Hazard’s importance at Real Madrid shrinks, Al Nassr is reportedly mulling a bid for him, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Midweek, Hazard started the 1-0 Copa del Rey victory against CP Cacereno, although Carlo Ancelotti has no plans for him.

With competing, proposals from the MLS for the Belgian, Real Madrid is prepared to unload Hazard, and they will take a low transfer fee.

Vieira issues Wilfred Zaha transfer update

Coach Patrick Vieira of Crystal Palace claims the team is awaiting Wilfried Zaha’s decision on the attacker’s future.

Zaha’s contract with Palace ends at the end of the current campaign, and he can already speak with other teams about a summer transfer. Numerous teams are reportedly interested in him, including Barcelona and Juventus, and Palace is also eager to keep him. According to Vieira, the team is awaiting the 30-year-old’s decision.

“We are aware of the circumstances and wish to keep him. He is a valuable member of the team and is well-liked here,” he added.

“We must wait to see what he will choose to do. What counts is how dedicated he is to the games.”
