Let’s see some of the transfer news around the football world.
Leeds United signs Weston McKennie on loan from Juventus
Weston McKennie has been signed on a temporary loan by Leeds United from Juventus.
This month, the Whites have been attempting to bolster the quality and depth of their midfield, with Azzedine Ounahi of Morocco, a star of the World Cup, being their top priority.
However, when it became clear that they would be unable to reach an agreement with Angers, they turned to McKennie, whose signing was announced Monday night.
“Leeds United are thrilled to announce the signing of Weston McKennie on loan until the conclusion of the 2022–23 season, subject to a work permit,” read an official statement.
“The 24-year-old midfielder joins the Whites from Italian Serie A side Juventus. With a view to a permanent deal at the end of the season.”
He might make his Leeds debut on Sunday afternoon’s Premier League trip to Nottingham Forest.

Everton launches £45m bid for Chelsea’s Connor Gallagher
According to reports, Everton has made a surprise bid for Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher.
A rumored bid was made on the same day that Sean Dyche was named the club’s new manager.
Everton has been connected with several players after Anthony Gordon left for Newcastle United at the weekend to bolster their midfield and offensive players.
Additionally, according to Fabrizio Romano, Everton reportedly made a £45 million offer for Gallagher a day before the deadline.
Anthony Elanga of Manchester United has also been connected to Everton.
“Everton has made a purchase offer to Chelsea for Conor Gallagher.” According to Romano, “the plan is for £40 million plus $5 million in add-ons.”
“As other teams are also interested in Gallagher, Chelsea will make a choice shortly. [The player] must also consider his future.”
The majority of Gallagher’s senior career has thus far been spent on loan, despite graduating from Chelsea’s youth academy.
Before returning to Chelsea for the current season, he played for Charlton Athletic, Swansea City, West Brom, and most recently, Crystal Palace.

Bryan Gill joins Sevilla on loan
Bryan Gil, a winger for Tottenham, has returned to Sevilla on loan for the rest of the season.
Since joining the Spurs before the 2021–22 season, Gil has had difficulty getting consistent playing time. He spent the second part of the previous season on loan at Valencia. He assisted them in reaching the Copa del Rey final.
The 21-year-old has played just 148 minutes in four Premier League games for Antonio Conte’s squad this season despite having four senior team appearances for Spain.
Leeds United made a late bid for Zaniolo
According to Calciomercato, Leeds has attempted a last-minute attempt to get Nicolo Zaniolo from Roma.
According to Daniele Longo, Leeds reportedly enquired about Zaniolo. They discussed the player once more and received the player’s approval for a move.
The English team plans to provide a loan with a buyout option that becomes a requirement after a predetermined number of appearances.
Roma, meanwhile, has no intention of offering reductions. They demand a promise of a purchase commitment or nothing at all.
