Let’s see some of the transfer talks around the football world.
Bayern Munich signs Yann Sommer from Monchengladbach
Borussia Mönchengladbach has announced that goalkeeper Yann Sommer is discussing with Bayern Munich over a January move.
After Manuel Neuer was declared out for the remainder of the season, the German champions made the Swiss star their top priority to replace Neuer this month.
And now a transfer is about to happen, as Gladbach confirmed earlier rumors that the goalie is, in fact, close to moving to Bavaria.
A brief statement stated, “Sommer did not participate in team training on Wednesday. The 34-year-transfer old’s negotiations are nearing their conclusion.”
According to numerous sources, a deal between the two clubs has already been reached. Sommer will transfer to Munich for an initial fee of €8 million plus an additional €1.5 million in bonuses.
On Wednesday night, a medical was already conducted after Gladbach approved the transfer after identifying a suitable substitute.
They have verbally agreed to sign fellow countryman Robin Omlin of Montpellier with the money they received for Sommer.

Sporting CP rejects Tottenham Hotspur’s first bid for Pedro Porro
The initial bid from Tottenham Hotspur for right-back Pedro Porro has been turned down by Sporting CP.
According to the Portuguese newspaper Record (h/t Metro), Tottenham met with Sporting CP representatives and submitted their initial offer for €29 million plus bonuses.
The Portuguese club, however, rejected it right away because they wanted the Premier League team to cover his release clause.
Tottenham, though, believed that performance-based add-on bonuses would make up for the contract’s disadvantages.
Sporting is certain that they won’t let him go unless one of the clubs pays his €45 million release clause.
The Portuguese club rejected Tottenham’s offer, although Spurs could try again later. The two sides are expected to continue negotiations this week.

Memphis Depay is set to join Atletico Madrid
Barcelona has agreed to sell Memphis Depay to Atletico Madrid for an initial fee of € 3 million (£2.6m).
The former Manchester United player’s contract will include add-ons. In the summer, Depay’s deal with Barcelona was set to expire.
The 28-year-old skipped Barcelona’s practice on Wednesday with the club’s approval.
Memphis has been considering leaving Barcelona for about six months, but last summer, the club turned down offers to join Newcastle and Galatasaray.
Since his deal with Barcelona was set to expire in June, a summer departure was always possible. However, his exit has now been accelerated.
With Joao Felix now moving for Chelsea, the Dutch international will play considerably more often at Atletico Madrid than he did at Barcelona.
