Being constantly linked with potential move away from Turin, Brazilian defender, Alex Sandro ends those speculation after extending his deal with Juventus until 2023.
The left back put pen to paper on a new agreement which reportedly worth 5 million Euro per year, a significant amount of pay rise compared with his previous 2.8 million Euro salary.
Sandro himself reveals that he is delighted with the new deal and continuing his journey as part of Juventus family for few more years.
“I thank all the people who helped me arrive where I am today. I am very happy to continue being part of the Juventus family,” the defender stated on his Instagram account.
Before finally extending his stay in Turin, the former Porto player was heavily linked with many other teams, such as Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.
However, nothing concrete ever materialized as Juve themselves have prized out any of those interested parties out of a potential deal.
This new deal could also means that the Turin giant are going to rely their left back position to Sandro and not looking for new names in that position, aside from back options.
Recently there were also talks that the Turin giant could be going for Real Madrid’s Marcelo, who could be bought in at least next summer.
However, the initial idea was for the Madrid’s defender to replace Sandro if the 27-year-old decide to walk away from Turin.
Now that the Sao Paulo native decided to stay, there’s no reason that Juve will be actively pushing for a top quality left back in the market.
