The future of French international midfielder, Adrien Rabiot, remain uncertain following recent denial from Barcelona.
Rabiot has been rumored to already agreeing a deal with the Catalan side after rejecting an extension with Paris Saint-Germain, but that talks have now been squashed by Barca.
Not keen on being labeled as a club that breach any professional agreement, Blaugrana wrote an official statement on their website denying any agreement have been made with the French midfielder.
Moreover, the Catalan outfit also claiming that every approach they made for Rabiot have been done with transparency with full acknowledgement with PSG.
“FC Barcelona have always wanted to work with the utmost transparency in their dealings with PSG and with any other club,” the statement read. “FC Barcelona refute the existence of any type of agreement with PSG player, Adrien Rabiot.”
Although this statement doesn’t mean that Barca have shut down any chance of Rabiot arrival, it certainly trigger media questions on where will the young midfielder will end up.
The 23-year-old has caused quite a news recently as many teams have been reportedly approaching due to his refusal in extending his deal at the Paris based club.
Rabiot reportedly is keen on searching for a new adventure, with El Barca being named as the most likely destination.
However, for now there’s still some possibilities for the talented midfielder’s destination with teams like Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Juventus and AC Milan are also very keen on him.
It remain to be seen on which team will the controversial midfielder will end up, especially with PSG are planning to bench him should he remain until his contract ends next summer.
