Bayern Munich’s mission to rejuvenate their squad continue as even start their summer signing early by announcing the arrival of Benjamin Pavard.
The Bavarian through their director, Hasan Salihamidzic has confirmed that Pavard will be joining them at the end of this current season.
Bayern reportedly triggered Pavard’s release clause worth 35 million Euro, which basically allow the player to depart from Stuttgart starting from next July.
Salihamidzic revealed that deal in a recent interview, stating to the media that they are very proud for winning the race in signing the versatile defender.
“We are delighted, proud and happy that we won over Benjamin Pavard for Bayern Munich. He’s a really good player, can play on many positions,” the director said during the team’s training camp.”
Still only 22, the World Cup 2018 winner is certainly an exciting piece to start Bayer’s rebuilding process as they have too many senior players already.
The Stuttgart defender attracting many attention mainly after his excellent showing in Russia last year, but the Bundesliga giant successfully secure his signature.
Bayern beat several interest, mainly from Italian side, Napoli, that are also very keen on signing the French international.
Aside from Pavard, Niko Kovac’s side are also looking at other young talented profiles for their next signings such as Lucas Hernandez and Callum-Hudson Odoi.
