Bayern Munich are not giving up their hope in signing Leroy Sane from Manchester City this summer. Despite still not hearing anything yet from Sane, Bayern are confident that something will come up soon.
The Bundesliga giant’s confidence came from their CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge recent statements. Speaking to reporters recently, the chief said that an answer will soon arrive once Sane returns from his holidays.
“I’d like to think he’ll return from his holidays this week. That’s where he wanted to consider his future,” Rummenigge stated. “We’ll have to wait and see if there’s any movement.”
Bayern are strongly counting on the player’s own wish of leaving Manchester City and joining the German side this summer. City themselves are hoping to keep Sane at Etihad Stadium next summer.
However, the German international might have other ideas especially with strong interest from Bayern. Moreover, he haven’t been getting regular starting role last season under Pep Guardiola’s side.
If Niko Kovac’s team can provide that first team guarantee, the former Schalke star might be tempted. It’s an intriguing situation that both Bayern and Man City are currently experiencing.
Die Roten have been actively looking to improve their squad for next season and Sane is one of their main targets to sign. Bayern are looking for wide attackers to replace both Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery who left the club.
