Being targeted by many top teams, Benfica starlet, Joao Felix, apparently preferring to play in Spain instead of England. This statement was revealed by the player himself in an interview with Marca.
Being asked about his preference, Felix, was not hesitating in making up his mind of choosing La Liga.
“My dream has always been to play for the biggest clubs in Europe. Spain or England? I would prefer to play in Spain,” Felix explained.
It’s certainly a positive sign for teams like Real Madrid and Barcelona, that have been monitoring him for a while. However, that statement is not a guarantee as Felix is not thinking about a move for now.
“I am not thinking about my future. I only have thoughts for Benfica and helping my club to the league title,” the starlet added.
Being labeled as the new Cristiano Ronaldo, Felix has attracted many attention from top European teams. Still only 19, he has become an important player for his club in their title challenge.
His future will be interesting to witness as what top teams will eventually break the bank for his signature. Signing Felix won’t be cheap as Benfica set a 120 million Euro for his clause.
