Matthijs De Ligt transfer saga finally reaching its final stage as the defender will be signing with Juventus. The Italian giant practically confirming that deal as they were showing De Ligt’s arrival at the airport heading to Turin.
De Ligt will be having his medical on Wednesday before officially signing his contract worth 8 million euro. Not only that, he will also receive an additional four million bonus per year, taking his potential salary into 12 million.
Juventus themselves are paying massive amount for the 19-year-old transfer with Ajax getting 75 million Euro. A massive but potential worthy amount for the young defender who was attracting affection from many top teams in Europe.
Before eventually signing for Juve, De Ligt was a target for both Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. However, neither of those two teams were willing to pay the amount Ajax wanted.
Eventually, it’s the Turin giant that are more than willing to take that massive financial investment. Juve certainly hope that whatever money they’re investing will give a positive return for them as soon as possible.
The arrival of De Ligt might also trigger potential departure as Bianconeri will be looking to get some income back. For now, Juve will not be thinking too much about it as they’re preparing to welcome their top young defender.
