Enrico Chiesa’s future next season seems to still be at his current club Fiorentina amids many interest from other top teams. Having a new ownership, La Viola is not keen on letting their star player depart them at least for another year.
According to their new owner, Rocco Commisso, unless there’s any previous agreement he was not aware of, Chiesa will stay. The president is hoping that his side can improve themselves next season, with Chiesa as one of the main players.
“Chiesa will stay at Fiorentina for at least another year unless there is some contract or other things of which I do not know,” Commisso explained.
This news is certainly not something that the likes of Juventus, Inter Milan or Bayern Munich are keen on hearing. Those three teams are strongly keen on signing the Italian international this summer.
However, having a new ownership with relatively strong financial condition might persuade Chiesa to give it another go. Staying for another season won’t be an issue considering that he is still young.
If things still not working out well next season, the player might be allowed to depart Florence. Nevertheless, this will change the target of some of those interested teams.
