The future of Mauro Icardi with Inter Milan suddenly becomes intriguing again after recent reports stating that the Italian side are not close in agreeing any contract renewal.
That statement was shouted by Icardi’s agent and wife, Wanda Nara, who spoke to the media saying that so far they are far away from agreeing anything with Inter.
The agent also hints that a potential exit is possible, noting there are several clubs that have been showing interest on the Argentinian international.
“Right now, Icardi’s renewal with Inter is very far away. The figures being talked about in Italy aren’t true and we haven’t received a satisfactory proposal from Inter yet,” Wanda explained. “We believe Mauro is wort more than that. There are some very important clubs interested in signing him.”
This statement could very much ignites strong reaction from the likes of Real Madrid or Chelsea, that are believed to among the clubs mentioned by Icardi’s agent.
Those two teams specifically have been struggling up front, especially this season as they can’t seem to get the best of their current forwards.
Icardi’s stock has rise up significantly in recent years, notably because of his consistent goal scoring record for Inter, which proves that he is a quality attacker.
