Struggling to settle at Chelsea ever since his move to Real Madrid, Alvaro Morata has been rumored to be leaving The Blues with Barcelona being a potential destination.
Despite his past with Madrid and recent poor goal scoring form, the Catalan side will welcome Morata with open hands as it was said by Barca’s defender, Jordi Alba.
In an interview with Spanish media, Alba was not shy on praising his the 26-year-old, considering the attacker as a great player.
Moreover, the left back also ensured that his club will be ready to welcome the former Juventus striker with open arms if the rumors are true.
“New players are always welcome at Barca and Alvaro would be no different,” Alba was quoted by Diario AS. “Morata has been fantastic players for many years.”
Although the defender is keen on teaming up with the striker at Camp Nou, but Alba leaves every transfer decision to his club and is not keen on interfering.
Barcelona’s interest in Morata is triggered by their hunt for another experienced forward who can play a bit part role for the time being.
The local media in Barcelona claiming that the 26-year-old is more willing to play second fiddle at Blaugrana instead of experiencing the same situation at Chelsea.
