Experiencing some struggle this season, Real Madrid reportedly are ready to make some important signings next summer.
One of Los Blancos main targets according to the media are Tottenham Hotspur’s star midfielder, Christian Eriksen.
Eriksen’s contract situation which will be up on 2020 triggers Los Blancos interest in prizing him up, mainly for next summer transfer market.
Although Madrid could probably use some new blood in January, but it’s very unlikely Tottenham will agree to do anything this winter.
That’s why Santiago Solari’s side are hoping that they can make their move next summer, especially if Spurs failed to extend Eriksen’s contract.
The Lilywhites’ boss, Mauricio Pochettino recently admitted that he has no clue on what will the future be for the Danish international.
Adding that Tottenham and the midfielder will need to work out on something soon but it might not be easy due to strong interest on Eriksen.
Madrid themselves are keen on making the Denmark international as future replacement for Luka Modric, who is not getting any younger.
However, noting that Eriksen’s deal with Spurs will remain until 2020, there’s a question on how much would the London based outfit want for transfer fee.
Although the Lilywhites are reluctant to let their star midfielder leave, but if they can’t agree on a new deal soon, the club will most likely sell him for high profit.
