Madrid Re-appoint Zidane as Head Coach Replacing Solari

Real Madrid’s exit in Copa del Rey and UEFA Champions League last 16 was an unforgivable failure for Santiago Solari. His tenure at Los Blancos ended in a short fashion as he is now replaced by Zinedine Zidane.

In such interesting twist, former Los Blancos boss, Zidane has been re-appointed as their boss once again. The Spanish giant made a surprising decision which not many people was expecting.

Madrid decision came following recent board meeting on Monday which resulted in Solari’s sacking and Zidane’s immediate appointment.

“The Real Madrid board of directors, which met today, Monday 11 March 2019, has decided to terminate Santiago Solari’s contract as first team coach,” an official statement read.

Moreover, the official also confirming that Zizou will be at Santiago Bernebau until June 2022. This will give the former midfielder an opportunity to rebuild Los Blancos again in the next three campaigns.

This shocking news is something that many Madrid fans seems to enjoy as they did experience plenty of success under Zidane’s reign. Winning the Champions League three times in a row is not an easy accomplishment for any tactician.

Although they only won one La Liga title under Zizou’s command, but there’s a hope that everything will be fine.

Regarding Solari’s future, the club seemingly still keen on keeping him at Madrid, though no role has been confirmed.
