Manchester United’s ambition in signing Leicester City defender, Harry Maguider continue to face stumbling blocks. Not only dealing with Leicester high demands, United must now compete against their rival, Manchester City.

The latest reports from England both Manchester clubs are very keen on getting Maguire for next season. United shown an interest last summer but can’t agree on a deal with Leicester.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side renewing their interest on the England international again and will have to face tougher task. The Foxes reportedly are asking for 80 million pound for their star defender, a very hefty price indeed.

It will be interesting to see whether Man United will continue their interest with a real offer. The Red Devils also have other targets in mind and will be cautious in splashing their fund on the wrong targets.

Aside from Maguire, Man U are also keen on Ajax Amsterdam’s young defender, Matthijs De Light. The Dutch side are also asking for huge sum for their star player’s potential transfer fee.

Seeing how they are also looking to improve other positions aside from defense, Solskjaer must be wise in making his choices. At the moment it looks like United must choose between one of Maguire of De Light.

Meanwhile, Man City themselves are also looking for a new center back following Vincent Kompany’s departure. Guardiola’s side are monitoring several names and consider Maguire as one of the potential targets.
