Premier League defending champion, Manchester City are ready to battle AC Milan in the summer transfer market. Pep Guardiola’s team reportedly have also set their sights on Rossoneri’s transfer target.
The player that both teams are battling for is Gremio’s attacker, Everton, who has also impressed with Brazilian national team. The 23-year-old recently admitting his interest in moving to Milan, but City won’t give up.
Italian paper, Gazzeta dello Sport, believes that Man City are financially more capable of meeting Gremio’s request. Everton is rumored to have a release clause worth 80 million euro, but a deal can happen for half of that.
Milan might need to wait until the end of season before making their move with that price. Rossoneri also have other targets in their minds, so they must not be hasty with their cash.
Should Rossoneri secure top four place, they will most likely make an effort to sign Everton. Man City might need to act quicker if they are really serious about the Brazilian international.
However, there could be a playing time issue for the 23-year-old at Etihad. Guardiola’s team are pretty deep in that wide attackers position at the moment.
Although City are keen on bolstering their squad even more, but if Everton values playing time, a deal won’t be easy.
