Two classic rivals in Serie A, AC Milan and Juventus set to battle each other again in Supercoppa Italiana on Wednesday, January 16.

Milan Hoping to Secure Another Italian Supercoppa Trophy

Winning the cup back in 2016 after beating the same opponent, Milan will play with strong motivation to repeat that success.

Although their recent meetings against Juve didn’t give too much reason for confidence, but Gennaro Gattuso’s men must remain confident about their chance.

Despite their dominance in Serie A and Coppa Italia, Juve haven’t  been winning Supercoppa Italiania since 2015.

That situation should add more believes in the Rossoneri that beating Juventus is not an impossible task.

Injuries remain an issue for The Red and Black squad as they will still be playing without Lucas Biglia, Giacomo Bonaventura and Mattia Caldara.

Meanwhile, Gonzalo Higuain’s availability is also uncertain following his reported transfer request to Chelsea.

Juventus Keen On Winning the Supercoppa Again

Failing to win the last two Italian Super cup in a row, Juve will feel that air of curiosity and motivation as they want to lift the cup this time.

Playing in neutral ground won’t be giving any sides much advantages, which could suit Juve’s more as they do have better qualities compared to their opponent.

Nevertheless, Massimiliano Allegri’s men must remain cautious as anything can happen in a one of match, just like what happened in the past two Supercoppa edition.

Mario Mandzukic won’t be available so Allegri could pick Federico Bernardeschi to complete the trio up front with Paulo Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo.
