After spending two seasons in Bundesliga, James Rodriguez’s next destination looks to be Italian Serie A. This situation potentially happens following recent reports stating that Napoli are close in getting the Colombian international.
According to reports from various media, Rodriguez will arrive on loan with an option to buy agreement. He seemingly keen on rejoining with his former boss at Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, who is currently managing the Italian side.
Although there’s still no confirmation as just yet, but the press believes the deal is inevitable. Both sides reportedly still looking to agree on the option to buy fee which is around 30-40 million euro.
Moreover, Napoli could also pay another 10 million Euro just for the current loan deal agreement. The Italian outfit looking eager to improve their squad for next season and believes that Rodriguez is the answer.
Ancelotti’s side were unable to compete with Juventus in last season’s Scudetto race, so they’re keen on changing it around next season. It won’t be easy, but Partenopei will be hoping that the arrival of new coach at the Turin giant can slow them down.
However, it remain to be seen on how much impact that the 27-year-old can provide for Napoli. Despite his star performance at international level, James has been struggling to put on consistent level of performances at club level in recent years.
