The transfer market war between Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona set to continue again next summer.
After continuously ‘dueling’ on the same target, PSG and Blaugrana reportedly set to do it again, this time for Lyon’s defender, Ferland Mendy.
Reports from various media claiming that both teams have identified the 23-year-old left back as their summer target.
Mendy has been attracting their attention, especially the French outfit, that have been scouting him recently.
PSG are quite confident with their chance in acquiring Mendy as reports suggesting that they willing to meet Lyon’s valuation.
Rumors stating that around 30-40 million Euro will be needed to snatch him from his current team.
Money is not an issue for PSG, but they must still be aware of FFP issues that have been troubling them.
As for Barca, despite very keen on signing Mendy, they also have other options to consider if they miss out on the 23-year-old.
According to the media in Spain, Blaugrana are also monitoring Felipe Luis from Atletico Madrid and Real Betis’ Junior Firpo.
It remain to be seen which of the two teams will be getting their man this time around as Barca won the previous transfer duel.
Ernesto Valverde’s team successfully acquired Frenkie de Jong despite the player seemingly close to join the French giant.
