Looking really eager to depart Paris Saint-Germain this past season, things might suddenly change for Adrien Rabiot. The troublesome midfielder was in his way out on a free this summer, but reports suggesting a potential twist.
The French international is yet to find himself a new club so he can technically stay at the club. PSG themselves actually want to see him extend his deal in Paris.
However, temptation of trying something new plus bad relationship with director Antero Henrique make things tough. Nevertheless, with Leonardo’s return as director and Henrique’s departure, Rabiot could change his mind.
The Brazilian football executive himself is reportedly a keen admirer of Rabiot’s quality and will be expecting to keep the 24-year-old. Reports from ESPN FC also indicating that there’s a chance the French midfielder will indeed stay.
Still, there’s plenty of twist and odd situation has happened regarding this transfer saga, so another different solution is very possible. PSG certainly won’t mind taking their talented midfielder back into their main squad.
Despite deciding to freeze him out during the second half of last season, Thomas Tuchel’s side will gladly take Rabiot back. Having such talented midfielder into the lineu up again can also help them save more cash for next summer.
