Spanish giant, Real Madrid, continue their quest in search for the next big thing and their search reportedly heading towards Joao Felix.
Reports in Spain claiming that Madrid are very keen on landing Benfica’s 19-year-old talent next season.
After losing Cristiano Ronaldo last summer, Los Blancos, have been linked with many potential replacement, including Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.
However, Los Blancos are yet to sign any major names in place of CR7, triggering continuous speculation from the media.
Felix seems a very likely candidate that fits Madrid’s recent plan in hunting for younger talents, who are ready to take the next step.
The Portuguese starlet himself has been attracting attention from various top clubs, such as, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund.
Not only having to potentially compete with those big teams, Los Blancos must also deal with Benfica. The Portuguese outfit reportedly put a 120 million Euro price tag for their young talent, a quite hefty number considering his age.
Nevertheless, that release clause can always be negotiated, so it’s still not a given that Madrid must pay that amount of money to sign Felix.
Los Galacticos certainly will do more scouting work on the youngster before making any significant approach, considering the potential cost involved.
