After losing the Champions League final, another disappointment comes for Tottenham Hotspur. Their star midfielder, Christian Eriksen, is looking to leave this summer as he wants to experience new challenges.
The Danish international himself was the one revealing that statement in a recent interview with local news paper, Ekstra Bladet. Eriksen is grateful and always enjoy his time with Spurs, but believes it’s time for him to look for something new.
“I feel that i am at a stage of my career where I would like to try something new. I have the deepest respect for everything that is happening at Tottenham and it would not be a negative to stay,” the midfielder stated.
Although he hasn’t confirmed anything about his future plan, but his wish is to resolve everything this summer. The midfielder doesn’t want to want until his current deal runs out next year, as he can walk for free.
Moreover, answering rumors about Real Madrid’s interest, Eriksen insist that there’s still nothing between him and the Spanish giant. Still, the midfielder would be interested in joining the club, considering it as a step up in his footballing career.
However, for now it’s still nothing more aside from just media talks, though the Danish international is keen on moving to Santiago Bernebau.
