Antoine Griezmann’s decision to leave Atletico Madrid next summer trigger many speculation about his future. Barcelona have been mentioned as potential destination, but Paris Saint-Germain are also linked.

However, those rumors linking Griezmann with the Ligue 1 giant has been toned down by PSG boss, Thomas Tuchel. The tactician believes that for now, the French international is not a realistic target.

Although admitting that the striker is a top quality player who can fit with any teams, but it’s not possible at the moment. Moreover, the former Borussia Dortmund boss also added that his team’s target are looking for defensive players.

“Griezmann can play with every team in the world. It would please any coach, but right now it’s not realistic (For PSG). We are looking for players with certain profiles, it must be realistic,” Tuchel explained. “We need defensive players and we have to start with that.”

That statement might cool down some of the rumours linking the French side with the 28-year-old for now. However, once the season ends, things can get heat up again, especially if Barca haven’t seal the deal.

PSG themselves will probably need to sell some players first before they can make any move for Griezmann. Unless they can get some cash for their players, it is temporarily unrealistic for the French champion to sign the star striker.
